In the absence of having an effective model of psychoeducation suitable for the general public, that translates psychological principals into effective solutions, opportunities to help assist parents and teachers are missed.

Schools and Parents are continuously asking to be given these skills to help deal with their children’s problems.

Currently there are very few programmes available in Ireland to help parents and teachers understand the complexities of mental health, nor provide them with appropriate practical skills, to help them deal with the most common mental health difficulties their children are encountering every day.

It must be stressed that the aim is not to teach participants to act as therapists.

The aim is to teach people HOW to achieve and promote emotional wellness in their children and to act as more effective listeners/supporters similar to the way they are now.
